LITTLE FOODIES

Mango & Banana Puree (6+ months)

Tags:

I love discovering the very first favorite food of my little ones–for Liev it was sweet potatoes, for Silas it was blueberries, and for our sweet Quinn…it was mangos.

We’re having fun exploring all the different mango flavor combinations. We’ve tried mango and blackberry, mango and mint, and now mango and banana.

Mango and banana has now become a household favorite. It’s absolutely delicious. The combination not only tastes delicious, but smells like it came straight out of a Jamba Juice cup.

The wonderful thing about this puree is that it’s another “no-cook” recipe. If you use fresh mangos and fresh bananas, all you have to do is toss them in the food processor or blender and puree until smooth. If you opt for frozen fruit, just bring to room temperature before pureeing.

Of course, if you’re making this for big kids (or a spouse) put the fruit in the blender with some ice and maybe a little orange or pineapple juice…makes a yummy smoothie.

Mango & Banana Puree

  • 6 cups mango, cubed
  • 2 bananas

In a food processor or blender, puree the mango and banana together until smooth.
Add water, breast milk, or formula a couple tablespoons at a time until desired consistency is reached.
